I like what primers do to my skin and makeup, and now use one with my makeup every time. I wanted to try Benefit The Porefessional for a while, but was hesitant because it kind of burns a hole in the pocket. Read on to find out if it’s money well spent!
A professional balm that minimizes the appearance of pores. Quickly minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines and help makeup stay put with this priming phenomenon. The silky and lightweight formula can be worn under makeup to create a smoother-than-smooth canvas or used throughout the day to mattify shine and touch up problem areas. It’s so translucent, no one will know you’re wearing anything!
Price – $30 or Rs. 2230 from Sephora India
Benefit The Porefessional has a silky silicone texture that on application settles to a matte finish. It has a pale skin color that applies translucent and doesn’t show up. It feels light on the skin and blends easy. This evens out my combination skin and makes the skin look quite soft and smooth. I don’t mind it’s fragrance but sensitive noses might find it strong.
I use this after moisturizer and a very little amount of product (shown in swatch pic below) is enough to cover nose and center area of the face. This can also be used over makeup if the pores become visible or to keep oil away. It helps that the handy plastic tube is easy to carry around and great for touch-ups through out the day.
The primer evens out the my skin and even though it doesn’t magically vanish my pores, it definitely minimizes them. It also does a good job of disguising skin texture issues. My foundation and concealer go on nicely over this plus it actually makes my makeup last much longer.
A huuuge advantage for me is that this keeps the oiliness away. With this, plus some powder over my foundation, I don’t feel a need to touch up my base for the entire day.
I totally recommend it. This has become my makeup staple and it’s a must have product for anyone who does makeup and wants an evened out skin. I’ve already got a couple of my friends hooked on to this. What about you?, Love, Jas
