I had my cousins over from U.S. and of all (a big list :)) the things I asked them to get for me, one was Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. I had heard a lot about it and I thought with winters and my mom’s really dry skin, this should be a good purchase.
Cetaphil’s website says: Moisturizing Lotion specifically formulated to soothe chronically dry skin. Non-comedogenic Cetaphil® Moisturizing Lotion has a non-greasy formulation that is mild, non-irritating and long lasting. This gentle moisturizing formula contains emollients and humectants that bind moisture to the skin. This fragrance-free moisturizer contains no lanolins or parabens.
I keep looking for moisturizing lotions that are not greasy but at the same time thick enough to be deeply hydrating. On very dry skin days, I use half pump of this and my skin doesn’t miss moisturizing for the day. I like the fact that it can be used on face and body. My mother has a slight eczema problem and she also finds this lotion to be very helpful with her rough and dry skin.
The lotion comes in a big pump bottle. For people with really dry or sensitive skin, there is also a Cetaphil cream that I believe is thicker and should be more moisturizing. I feel it works fine for combination skin but might not really work for people with oily skin.
Half a pump of lotion blended:
This is a basic white lotion that is not too thick. This is scent free and doesn’t clog pores. The co. says it contains some emollients and humectants that bind moisture to the skin. I don’t know what both those items are, but the product does bind moisture to the skin.
A 473ml bottle is priced at approx $9.50. I find this to be really reasonable for the amount of product that you get and because not much is needed, this would last a long time. If you haven’t already, get your hands on this.
Love, Jas 🙂
