L’occitane Repairing Shampoo

Wow!! I can talk about this L’occitane Repairing Shampoo for reallllllllllly long. Basically I’m in love with this shampoo and I will tell you why.

I have really long hair and which have never been cut or trimmed.  With hair like that comes a lot of issues like frizziness, dry, thin and split ends. And last year I got my hair permed (I know!!! what was I thinking), which did not work out well and left my hair in a very bad condition. Hair strands were really thin and lifeless and my hair kept breaking, split ends were worse, and so on. Basically my hair looked like they just had a walk in hell.

I tried different shampoos and conditioners, must have bought 4 or 5 of them before deciding on trying this out. L’occitane Repairing Shampoo in a 75 ml travel size packing for about Rs. 300, which makes it easier to try.

It claims:

A natural complex of 5 essential oils extracted from Angelica, Lavender, Geranium, Ylang-Ylang and Patchouli which work together in synergy to help repair, strengthen, regenerate and soften dry and damaged hair.
It contains Wheat Proteins which further smoothes and softens capillary fibers, giving your hair radiance and strength.

I’ve been using this shampoo for about 6 months now and my hair feel and look much better.  They are bouncy and shiny and I feel it has made my hair healthier. It actually did repair my hair!! It doesn’t weigh down the hair, since it doesn’t have any harmful chemicals.

It’s a mild shampoo that can be used every day. It’s great for the dry winter season, when you need a moisturizing shampoo, that smoothes and softens your hair. Also, if you have heat damaged hair, this should work out really well for you. A little goes a long way with this shampoo. A 300ml bottle lasts me about 2 months with hair wash on almost alternate days. Bear in mind; I’m talking about long hair. And the aromatic smell is wonderful and makes me smile every time.

Priced at Rs. 1250 for 300ml feels expensive, but totally worth it.  And I totally love the idea of the refill pouch for this at a decent Rs. 1550 for 500ml. :)

Have been suggesting L’occitane’s hair care to my friends and family, and I have yet to hear bad things from anyone. I have heard great reviews about their Volumizing Shampoo as well from a couple of friends.

Hmmmm, I wanted to talk about their conditioner and mask as well, but since this became a long post, I will review those later in another post.

Have you tried it yet? What’s your fav hair care product?.. Love, Jas :)

Hey Jyoti, in summers I usually have oily scalp too and the shampoo works well for me. So it should be good for you too.
You should try it first with their travel sized bottle maybe. That’s what I did too :)
