It’s been a while since my last post, but this has been quite a busy week for me. So today I’m back with a review for Maybelline Dream Matte Powder that was launched last year. I was quite happy with their White Stay Powder which has now been discontinued, so I decided to give Dream Mate Powder a try.
Price– Rs. 495
The compact powder has a very practical and sturdy packing. It has a transparent cover and a separate compartment at the bottom that swivels out. The bottom part carries a mirror and a very useful puff.
There are 3 or 4 different shades available and I got matched with Medium. These look really pale on skin, but once blended, the powder almost disappears. It’s not the most natural looking powder, but since the powder is finely milled, it doesn’t show through or cake up, unless you have applied a lot of it. I don’t like to use it over concealer though, because there it slightly changes the color of my base.
The powder covers pores and provides decent coverage. It also has good oil controlling capabilities. Keeps skin matte easily for about 3-4 hours and yet at the same time, this doesn’t highlight dry skin patches, unlike many other powders.
Overall, I really like the easy to use packaging, the fact that this feels good for dry as well as oily skin.
If you are looking for a good drugstore face powder, then this is totally recommended. Love, Jas 🙂
