Stila In the Light Eyeshadow Palette
This is my new go to palette!! I’m a sucker for neutral eyeshadows and when I saw Stila In the Light Eyeshadow Palette at Sephora, my heart sank a little.
In The Light palette consists of 10 wearable, neutral shades that can be used wet or dry. The palette also consists of Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in a matte chocolate brown.
Eye Shadows in the palette:
- Bare – matte ivory
- Kitten – Shimmery nude pink
- Bliss – matte beige ish nude
- Sunset – shimmery copper
- Sandstone – matte neutral coco brown
- Bubbly – Shimmery pale gold
- Gilded Gold – bronzy brown with golden shimmer
- Luster – dark aubergine grey with gold shimmer
- Night Sky – grey blue with silver shimmer
- Ebony – matte black
I have used this palette nearly every single day since my purchase. The colors are gorgeous and there’s not 1 color I won’t use. It’s hard to choose but Kitten, Glided Gold and Night Sky are my favorite. You can use this to create many different looks. Stila has even included a little booklet with six different looks to help us start off.
The palette is very versatile with a good balance of matte and shimmery colors. The shadows are really soft and yet no fall outs. Actually the softness helps the color glide on evenly. All the colors are really pigmented and I barely need to touch the brush on the eyeshadow to use it. The staying power is good on its own (about 5 hrs) and is even better with a primer underneath.
The smudge stick Damsel is a lovely black brown matte color that applies smoothly and stays on!! It’s fantastic, once applied this doesn’t go away easily.
The 10 eyeshadows and liner come in a cardboard palette with a magnetic closing and a big mirror. The packing is thin and light which makes it quite travel friendly. It doesn’t really seem sturdy, but I have not had any issues with it yet. Fingers crossed there!
Swatches(L to R) : Bare, Kitten, Bliss, Sunset, Sandstone
Swatches(L to R) : Bubbly, Gilded Gold, Lusture, Night Sky, Ebony
Damsel Smudge Stick Eyeliner Swatch
The palette costs $39, which is not cheap but not exactly expensive for a good quality eyeshadow palette. I bought mine from Sephora for Rs. 2500, which is quite higher than the original price. But I’m not complaining. I’m happy for Sephora opening and bringing all these goodies here.
Love, Jas
